UV Printing FAQ
Frequently asked questions about UV printing technology, materials, quality and applications.
What is UV printing?
UV printing is a digital inkjet process where specially formulated ink is instantly cured with ultraviolet light, allowing vibrant, durable prints on almost any material.
What materials can you print on?
We support 300+ materials including metals, wood, acrylic, glass, ceramics, stone, leather, canvas, plastics and coated substrates.
How durable are UV prints?
Cured UV inks are scratch, chemical and fade resistant. Outdoor lifespan is typically 3–5 years without lamination, longer indoors.
What is 3D texture UV printing?
By jetting multiple controlled layers we build up tactile relief up to 5mm height with variable gloss, matte and varnish effects.
Do you print white and varnish?
Yes. We use CMYK + White + Clear Varnish enabling opacity control, spot effects and protective or glossy finishes.
What file formats do you accept?
Preferred: PDF/X, AI, EPS, SVG, TIFF, PNG (300 DPI). For texture height maps: 8-bit grayscale PNG or TIFF.
Minimum / maximum order size?
We handle single prototypes through medium production runs. Contact us for volume pricing above 250 units.
Is UV printing eco-friendly?
UV curing emits no solvent VOCs, uses energy-efficient LED lamps and produces minimal waste compared to traditional methods.
